May 2014 Susan Brand graduated with an M.S. in Gerontology.
“Prior to completing my M.S., I was employed as a Social Worker in a skilled nursing facility, then completed Certification as an Assisted Living Executive Director. Experienced in working with adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities, I focus on caregiver support when volunteering and advocating within the community.
My future goals include offering professional development training and mentoring for those aiming to join our growing profession, consultation with nursing home social workers, and employing my entrepreneurial spirit to franchise a senior living community with a more personal, individualized approach of caring for our Seniors.”
