Ageism impacts us at every age! It shapes how everyone thinks about aging and their own future, frequently robbing us of the joy that comes with living.
(Participants) finally have an opportunity in life to explore topics that maybe they had to set aside due to work or family.

Dr. Elise Eifert was recently selected as a Victor W. Marshall Fellow in Applied Gerontology by the Southern Gerontological Society.
The Gerontology Program hosted “Timeless Talks” at UNCG’s Weatherspoon Art Museum in February. The intergenerational program featured an undergraduate Gerontology class, the Museum, and older community members. Students and participants walked through gallery exhibits sharing perspectives on the art and memories of their life experiences. The event included 25 undergraduate students and 14 community members. It’s expected to be held again in the fall.
