Krista Westervelt, a junior Peace & Conflict Studies major, minoring in Gerontology, presented her research conducted as part of the Fall 2021 GRO 400X Baby Boomers course (now GRO 444 online starting in the fall) at UNCG’s 15th Annual Thomas Undergraduate Research and Creativity Expo on April 21st. She has won second place in the Business, Education, Social and Behavioral Sciences section of the 2021 Carolyn and Norwood Thomas Undergraduate Research and Creativity Expo for her paper, Effect of Racial Disparities in Transportation Access on Older Adults in Chatham County. She also won the University Libraries Undergraduate Research Award for this year for this same paper.
