Jaesam Yoon, Director of the Disability Welfare Policy Division of the Seoul, South Korea Metropolitan Government (SMG), is UNCG Gerontology Program Visiting Scholar for 2015-2017.

South Korea represents one of the most rapidly aging populations on our planet — with those age 65+ projected to double between 2000 and 2016 and triple by 2026! The city of Seoul itself already has over a million residents aged 65+! Yoon explains how the City of Seoul effectively responds to aging populations through creative public policy reforms and encourages dialog on improving policies for our own country’s increasingly older adult population.
